For years, China Gas has devoted itself to developing and utilizing natural gas, the "green" energy resource, and focusing on the construction and development of city gas pipeline networks. To date, China Gas owns a total of 121 natural gas projects, including exclusive piped gas development rights in 110 cities and regions, 8 natural gas pipeline transmission projects, 1 natural gas exploration project, and 1 natural gas purification project, as well as the license to import and export LNG and other fuel products in China, and 35 LPG distribution projects. The Group has secured exclusive gas operations in Hubei, Hunan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Anhui, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hebei, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia and Fujian, which are the major cities along the West-East gas pipeline, the Chongqing-Wuhan gas pipeline and the Shaanxi-Beijing gas pipeline.

At present, China Gas is the only city gas operator owning long distance gas pipelines in China. The Group has already invested in the construction of the 200 km Wuhan-Xiaogan long distance pipeline in Hubei Province, which has a maximum capacity of 700 million m3 of natural gas per annum. Since 2005, this pipeline has been supplying natural gas to residential, industrial, commercial users and public sectors in parts of the Wuhan City, and all administrative districts of Xiaogan and Suizhou. China Gas has also constructed the 54 km Zhijiang-Dangyang long distance gas pipeline in Hubei Province, distributing natural gas to large industrial users. These long distance gas pipelines strengthen the Group's control of upstream gas sources, thus enable it to maintain its competitive edge in city gas projects within regions covered by these gas sources. In the future, the Group will continue to invest in long distance gas pipeline projects that promise good returns.

China Gas is a pioneer and also one of the largest operators of civil-use compressed natural gas in China. Our patented "Bottled CNG Distribution Technology" being advance, highly adaptable and requiring relatively small investment and low operation cost, has become the norm for small and medium cities in natural gas supply operations.
